Distinct Institute of Management Science, Ekosin via Osogbo has said that 2018/2019 scholarship programme sponsored by the Institute’s partner, AYF Investment Company Ltd is targeted at  orphans, less-priviledged and internally displaced persons.

DIMS, which is popularly known as an Innovation Polytechnic,  focusing on Management science and Technological Education and as part of Institution corporate social responsibility, is ready to assist the less privileged all over Nigeria as the Institution’s capacity will allow.

According to the Institution’s Public Relation Officer, the Rector of the Institution disclosed that 60 space had been made available at the main campus Ekosin, Odo Otin Local Government area of Osun state for admission into the Institution’s Tuition-free Scholarship programme.

“We have made provision to admit 60 indigent students for the Scholarship programme from all over Nigeria. I want to particularly urge candidates especially from the DIMS Catchment’s areas to key into this package”, Rector said.

He further said that the Institution would channel this offer through community leaders and religious organizations. The screening test for the programme was held on 31st August, 2018 at Community High School, Ekosin. Resumption for 2018/2019 academic session at Osogbo Campus is slated for 8th October 2018 for both full and part time programmes while Ekosin Campus is on 6th January 2019 for full time programme only.

The Rector added that, as part of the package, the Institution’s comprehensive education would make the students to be more comfortable and graduate with at least three certificates, viz:

–           NID /National Diploma Certificate in their chosen field of studies;

–           Entrepreneurship skills training certificate;

–       Certificate in professional studies (in collaboration with professional bodies e.g CIBN, NIM etc);

–           Computer proficiency certificate.

He also called on government at federal and state levels to key into the package by granting an education support loan to Institutions willing to help the indigents.
